Saturday night saw the first anniversary event for the East Kent Light Blue Brothers.
The pandemic didn’t stop the fellowship of The Light Blue Brothers from going ahead with a virtual beer tasting. There were a total of 60 people attending one zoom call which was entertaining!
After a welcome from our chairman, we were entertained by Chloe and James From Thornbridge who guided us through the beers. We started with a new beer called “Allot” which was Sour beer and gained a mixed reaction to say the least. Next on the list was “Frisco” which was a more middle of the road beer.
As the beer flowed we enjoyed the comedic one liners of Mark Simmons, best known for his appearances on “mock the week” Mark insisted everyone unmuted and picked on various members of the audience leaving us all in stiches.
Moving onwards, we were guided between two more beers of Jaipur and Jamestown and then were entertained by the wonderful President Obonjo, self-proclaimed leader of Lafta Republic.
Then came the part of the evening our Chairman, Howard had been waiting for. The opening and tasting of “Cocoa Wonderland”. The delight on his face was similar to that of a child on Christmas eve.
Thornbridge then finished their presentation around 930pm but the room stayed open until past midnight with lots of excited speculation as to when we will all be able to physically meet again.
