Light Blues Breakfast, Ashford – 28th June 2026

After an unexpectedly stormy night, around a dozen Light Blues gathered in Ashford for another of our increasingly popular Social Breakfasts, enjoying a hearty breakfast, plenty of coffee, and even better conversation.

As always, the breakfast offered a relaxed and informal chance for members to catch up, with newer Light Blues able to meet others – some for the very first time – in a warm, welcoming atmosphere free from ritual, summons, or speeches. These simple gatherings continue to show that strong province-wide connections are being built over a hearty English breakfast.

There was also some light-hearted fun, thanks to Malcolm, who was throwing back the years and happily swapping his Panini stickers, much to everyone’s amusement.

Looking back on the morning, Light Blue Paul, our Communications Officer, said:

“These breakfasts are quickly becoming a favourite part of our calendar. They’re a wonderful way for newer members to meet people in the most relaxed way possible, and they genuinely help strengthen the friendships that make our club special. Good food and great company – what more could you want?”

Even with the weather trying to dampen our spirits overnight, it couldn’t take away the great atmosphere. What a fantastic morning! We’re already looking forward to welcoming even more Light Blues to our Social Breakfast next month in Folkestone.
