On Wednesday 29th March we held our first ever Micro Event, a get together at The Racing Greyhound Pub, Ramsgate. The format of this event was ‘Blue Table’ which means members of the EKLBB Club could invite their non-Masonic friends who may be interested in hanging out with Freemasons.
Whilst this event was held in Area 8, we encouraged all of our members from across the Province to attend. The event was attended by members of six different Lodges: Bradstow, Kingsgate, Lewises, Porta Sapientiae, Royal Navy & St John’s. These Lodges all being based in Area 8, we’re hoping in the future more of our EKLBB members will socialise outside of their respective Group/Area.
Do you have an idea for a micro event? If you would be interested in holding a similar event, please contact me & we can discuss how we can implement your idea(s). I would love to hear from everyone.
Our Area 8 Lead Ambassador, Steve Colleran, arrived at the venue at 6:30pm where he was immediately greeted by the bar manager. As a steady flow of attendees arrived, they were all directed to the private function room at the rear of the premises where our EKLBB members & the nine invited ‘non masons’ warmly greeted one another & had a good chat with each other at the Private Bar.
At 7:30pm the 22 attendees took their seats for the meal which consisted of decent pub grub. The drinks & laugher continued to flow throughout the evening.
The night came to an end around 10:00pm. Everyone agreed that it was great evening & they would all like a similar event to be held again soon.
