Nine East Kent Light Blues Brothers got together on Saturday morning for another wonderful Social Breakfast, this time at the beautifully restored Samuel Peto in Folkestone.
Since the Wetherspoons had recently been renovated, the members were treated to a bright, welcoming place that was just the right setting for another relaxed morning of good food, lots of coffee and even better company. The impressive restoration kept the building’s character while making it feel fresh and comfortable, and everyone agreed it was a pleasure to be there.
As always, the breakfast was more than just about the food. It gave new members (some attending for the first time) a chance to meet fellow brethren from all over the Province, catch up with old friends and make new friends in the informal, welcoming environment that EKLBB events are known for.
With conversations ranging from Freemasonry and upcoming events to holidays, families and lots of good-natured jokes, the morning flew by too fast.
Steve Colleran, EKLBB Deputy Chairman, perfectly captured the spirit of the morning:
“These breakfasts are exactly what EKLBB is all about. They’re relaxed, inclusive and a brilliant way for members to get to know each other outside the Lodge room. Whether it’s your first event or your fiftieth, you’ll always receive a warm welcome—and judging by the smiles around the table today, I’d say this was another huge success.”
The regular Social Breakfasts keep getting better and better, with each event bringing both familiar faces and new members.
